1/21/2024 0 Comments Terraria moon lord no bagAre you going to invalidate other play styles in future fixes too? I worry for anyone else after this. You've completely gutted an entire play style with a single tweak, and it leaves me wondering what to do now aside from putter around pointlessly since Moon Lord is the only obstacle left to my friends and me. Please reconsider this change, and (hopefully) take it out. I can't even help myself survive at this point against the Moon Lord. I can't get into this fight and throw magic out to help my allies survive, which is the closest I can get to direct healing in this game (I'm a White Mage at heart). Otherwise, the boss may as well not be there because I'm never gonna beat it as a mage. Now you're taking it away? I'm sorry, I just can't respect this choice, and request the tweak be removed. Why did you just completely invalidate an entire play style? Mages routinely (as far as I know) use the HP drain in order to survive these kinds of encounters thanks to their low defense. Excuse me? Sorry, I read this and scratched my head. Prep: Have the 'Cosmic Car Key' item from M. Prep: Have a teleporter to a far side of the map. Prep: Have a nurse near where you arrive when you use mirror. When you kite with the Saucer make sure you also go up and down, as the saucer flies faster vertically. I had enough room and time where I was able to take off half hp with each trip (unless I took too much damage)Īs long as you don't get too cocky with using the mirror as soon as you drop (basically below 50%) HP, you should be able kill him. After you use the nurse, take the TP back to your far side of the map. If you're dying than use the mirror early- try not to drop below 200 HP, as that seems safest and I seem to lose 300 hp within 3 seconds sometimes. Keep heading left till map is about to end, than use your mirror to go back to base. I think a flairon can do this too, but a yo-yo is more DPS at this point. Wait till he arrives, than started heading left. I save the last pillar to kill when that one is close. I have a teleporter to a jungle from base. (No need for wings, you'll be mounted the whole time.) I also had the crafting table buffs for an extra minion and penetration buff. Star veil, worm scarf, charm of myths, yoyo bag, fire gauntlet. I used a Yo-yo and beetle armor (tanky shell, not attack chest peice) and the the dragon summon item, plus some bacon. Slow enough where you can use the Martian indefinite flying saucer to sufficiently give chase/flee, but doesn't dodge too well. Here is the most successful strat I can think of for easy mode, melee: Here is what I just did. Is this how the fight was intended to go? Because it was a lot more interesting this morning when I simply had to be careful to dodge his more powerful attacks and collect hearts from statue occasionally.Īnyway- for this level of brokenness- to have to kill the cultist and all pillars again is a pretty rough change to say the least.ĭoes someone have a way to beat em/a link to one? So what I had to do- and this is on easy mode- is run, run, shoot, shoot, than TP back to base to heal, TP back to the far side of the map, wait, run, shoot, repeat, lose all MP or start to lose all HP, TP back. You can maybe take 4 hits before dying even using melee tank armor, and tanky accessories (even using worm scarf). Can't dodge it, can't cure it, and it's up the whole fight. So he gives this little debuff now that makes healing weapons unusable now.
